LEMANS 24 Hour Moto - April 2008

Many thanks to Pete Andy and the rest of the gang for their support at the LEMANS 24 Hour Moto.

As we didnt have enough people to warrent setting up our campsite we all stayed in a local hotel which we think the lads were happy with as the weather wasn't as good as last year

They arrived on Thursday after an eventful ride, nothing to drastic just a puncture on Petes bike. they waited a couple of hours for the breakdown man to arrive, the repair took 10 minutes and they were of again.

In the evening we all went to a local restaraunt for a meal and then back to the hotel

Friday they all went out for another blast around the local countryside I think they enjoyed themselves, having a few tales to tell.

In the evening we went into LEMANS centre to a restaraunt  and then a look around the old medieval part of the city centre.

Saturday they went to the race untill midnight when we picked them up to return to the hotel

While we were waiting for them we had a walk around the circuit campsite to view the sights and what a sight it was, how people stay in these conditions we will never know, it can only be softened by the alcohol.

Although the LEMANS district banned all sales of beers in the supermarkets etc in the whole LEMANS area, the punters still managed to find some somewhere.

Sunday the guys went out for a ride again till midday then down to the circuit again to take in the end of the race in which Suzuki took first  & second place and 7 places in the top ten.

We picked the lads up about 5pm, went back to the hotel and in the evening we all went to a local Italian restaraunt, everyone seemed to enjoy the meal.

The lads all left on Monday morning for their ride home which looked to be a wet ride.
