LE MANS Moto GP 2008
Had a great weekend at LE MANS for the Moto GP, weather wasn't bad a little bit of rain most days cloudy and threatening rain but it didnt happen, and for the race it was dry and what a good race, better than 2007, great to see Valentino back on form he blew them away.
Our people started to arrived on Thursday some went down to watch Friday practice while the rest all arived on Friday.
Its always nice to see clients returning each year considering how tough things are in England at the moment with the euro being weak.
The site proves a success again due to its closeness to the circuit and relative safety away from the maddening crowds, you really have to see the circuit campsites to believe them, some of our clients stayed there for the 24 hour bikes and ended up with loads of stuff being stolen, its not good down there.
We had the minbus service to run our people into the circuit, only a distance of 1 mile but it saves them walking, also we took them into the LE MANS town for a few hours which gave them a welcome break.
Security was on site from 9pm through to 8 am and throught the day we are always on sight, no problems occured, a guard with a Doberman is alway a good thing to have around.
Our clients were able to order sandwiches & drinks etc to take to the circuit as they said the prices were high there and the quality not that good.
We had managed to video the race and the lead up to it so they were able to sit and watch it on the big screen for a couple of hours on Sunday evening which went down well along with the hot dogs & onions.
Monday morning everyone got packed up, some went back to the circuit to watch the tyre testing as the teams all stay on for the Monday, so its a great chance to watch the stars in action and possibly get up close, we understand Rossi also stayed on till Tuesday to continue testing.
So that the LE MANS Moto GP over for another season, roll on 2009.
